Here at Sharespace, we're working to help connect people with storage needs to their neighbors with empty space. Everything we do relies on neighbors helping neighbors, so we hope that both our Renters and Hosts will be considerate and friendly in their interactions. Some basics to keep in mind are:
- Be polite.
- Be on time.
- Treat everyone with respect.
The goal of our Community Standards is to encourage neighborly behavior while keeping all involved parties safe. We base our policies on input from our community - Renters, Hosts, employees, and other neighborhood faces - so if you see (or don't see) something you think needs to be changed, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We will continuously develop these standards as our community grows and changes. It is in the spirit of friendly neighborhoods that we ask members of the Sharespace community to follow these guidelines and standards.
Safety: People want to feel safe no matter where they are, and we know that the Sharespace community is no different. We have no tolerance for real-world harm, including (but not limited to) physical, financial and emotional injury. We are committed to preventing harm via screenings of both Renters and Hosts and want to promote friendly, professional relations during all interactions.
Equity: The Sharespace community is diverse - we have Renters and Hosts from a wide variety of regions, cultures and languages. We want our entire community to be respected regardless of these traits and characteristics. For that reason, our decisions may seem to go against what one party believes is right, fair or impartial. However, the entire Sharespace Team is committed to treating each member of our community fairly and impartially - you can count on us!
Respect: People value different things. Like the saying goes, "One man's trash is another man's treasure!" We expect the Sharespace community to value each other along with each other's possessions. That means not damaging belongings, respecting each other's space and personal items, and remaining considerate during any and all interactions with another Sharespace community member.
